Visiting the Audobon Center for Birds of Prey

Today, I visited the Audobon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland, Florida. The center focuses on rehabilitation, rescue, treatment, and the release of the raptors.

It was a great learning experience. I highly recommend it if you are in the Orlando area. 🙂

Here’s a link to their site with more information: http://fl.audubon.org/chapters-centers/audubon-center-birds-prey

Below are some of the photos that I took. Some of the photos were taken through a window, so they may not be completely sharp.

Red-shouldered Hawk

Bald Eagle

Barred Owl

Osprey

Burrowing Owl

Juvenile Swallow-tailed Kite

Palm Warbler

This adorable Palm Warbler was looking for something to eat for lunch. He managed to find a couple of little bugs to eat before he flew off.

I have to say that these little guys are so entertaining to watch.
